Ski and Ride Washington License Plates

Ski and Ride license plates may be purchased by any Washington State vehicle owner. They are available for passenger vehicles, trailers and motorcycles, and may be transferred from vehicle to vehicle.

How to apply

1. Complete a Special License Plate Application.
2. Contact your local vehicle licensing office to determine the exact cost of your license plates, including all licensing fees.
3. Take the completed application plus all appropriate fees to a vehicle licensing office.

How to renew

To renew, pay all licensing fees plus $30 and:

• Renew online.
• Renew in person at a vehicle licensing office.
• Renew through the mail by following the instructions on your vehicle renewal notice.
